This document is a template prepared for SHOPFILES LTD and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before going live.

This Cookie Policy explains how SHOPFILES LTD uses cookies and similar local storage on motov.net. We use only strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to make the site work and to keep your account and payments secure. We set no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

1. What we store

• PHPSESSID — strictly necessary. Holds your session together (order and checkout state, plus CSRF security tokens). It is a session cookie and is deleted when you close your browser.
• lang — strictly necessary (functionality). Remembers the interface language you selected so you don't have to choose it on every visit. Stored for up to 12 months.
• Billing area (motov.net/order/) — when you sign in or pay, our billing system (WHMCS) sets its own strictly necessary session cookies (e.g. WHMCS…) to keep you authenticated through the payment flow.
• Cloudflare security — our CDN and security provider (Cloudflare) may set strictly necessary cookies such as __cf_bm / cf_clearance to protect the site from abuse and bots. These are used only for security, not tracking.
• Cookie acknowledgement — a small value kept in your browser's local storage (not a cookie sent to our servers) recording that you have seen this notice, so it isn't shown again until the policy changes. It stays on your device until you clear it.

2. What we do not use

No advertising or retargeting cookies, no Google Analytics or other visitor-tracking scripts, no social-media pixels, and no cross-site profiling. Payment providers you choose at checkout may set their own strictly necessary cookies on their own pages to process your payment securely.

3. Legal basis

Every cookie we set is strictly necessary to deliver a service you actively requested, so prior consent is not required under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (and equivalent national laws); the processing rests on the performance of the contract and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We still show a short notice for transparency.

4. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings and clear the local-storage value above. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break core functions such as signing in, keeping your language choice, and completing checkout.
